Weekly update for the week of May 3rd 2012:



Hello members!

I've been absent for months, actually, I was abducted by aliens but I won't bore you with the details [you know how those aliens are].

I logged on to DA to close the club down. Earlier this year, we got some new blood in here who had some great ideas but the overwhelming nature of running a DA club and members not having a clue make it frustrating.

We have almost 3,000 members. That's a lot in my books. That tells me that at lease half of those members came here because they truly want to improve their skills. I've put hundreds upon hundreds of hours into this club [not that I mined] and I hate to throw it away. There's a lot of great info here for anyone staring out or wanted to improve their skills. I hate elitist clubs and there are less clubs as big and open as ours is.

So this is it. The ultimatum: Do we keep this club going or close it for good.


And like old times, I got a pool up letting you decide. If we vote to keep this club open, I will spend time keeping this club running. Meaning, I will renew our super and keep up with weekly updates. I don't throw money around for fun, so you have my word. HOWEVER, if we do keep this open and I'm going to have to have a lot of votes in order to do so, members need to participate. It's why you joined a club. Not just to spam our folders with every image you've ever taken with a camera.

If not then farewell.

Thank you to all who have helped: donated you're time, you're money and worked to make this the great club it is.

So for now, all I ask is vote on this week's poll. Let's keep the poll open for a few days to a week.

And as always, thoughts and comments are always welcome. The positive and the negative. I don't takes thing personally, so speak you mind on this matter. And if you got abducted by aliens  recently, feel free to share your story.
