Happy Sunday members!
Things have been running a little bit smoother this week under the new group system and I thank everyone for being patient during this big switch. I also encourage feedback and comments from our members to help make this club better as I do miss things from time to time.
There are a few things I want to address this week: the first one is submissions.
Since the switch, submissions have increased dramatically. This is great! I’m very happy to see more active members send in images to our general gallery. But a few of you are sending in 10 or more images at a time. We’ve always been a one week submission club but do the large volume of submissions; I am thinking of changing the general gallery submissions to two images per month. I know some will be disappointed with this, but a lot of our members are involved in many other DA clubs and I do not want flood members message centers with 100+ images per day. I’ve made the changes to our Guidelines page, so be sure to read those changes when you get a chance.
Those who have SUMBITTED an image to our gallery since the switch: DO NOT send in an image until next month. Multiple image submissions will be declined.
Another thing that has changed is our note system. If you do send in any image through the note system, send the link to the image. Under the new group system, I cannot view an image as a thumbnail. Why, I dunno.
And lastly, under the new group system the club cannot submit news articles. I was really bummed out when I found this out since our news articles are a backbone to this club. However, I don’t think this will trip us up. I still plan to submit news articles and feature members’ work, but the news articles will be on my own personal account: unless I figure out another way. I will keep everyone updated on this.
Now that the housekeeping points are covered, I want to remind everyone to send in your work for our Patriotic: This is where I live member feature. I really want this to be a big feature, 100+ images to showcase. We have roughly 40 images in, so send in your work and kick off the New Year right with a big feature! Since the notes I’ve kept before the switch are gone, be sure to have the country the image was taken in somewhere in the artist’s comments.
One more week for our Found Type assignment, send your images in!
I know this is a lot to read!
Please send in any feedback or comments!
PS: We hit over 100,000 pageviews this week!
Big hug to all that support this club!

We will no longer be doing "Gallery Collections"
Now that we are a super group, you are able to submit an image to our general gallery: when you submit an image, not only will it be showcased in our gallery, but all who watch the club will recieve your image in their message center. And if someone wants to
your image, it goes right to your original deviation page. The submitted deviation will also show that it is a part of PA's gallery.
To submit to the our general gallery:
Go to "Browse Folder" in our "Submissions 2009" found on our main page.
From there, you will see +Submit to this Folder button. Click that button which will pull down a drop box. From that drop box chose Contribute an Existing Deviation This will open a new window.
From that window, you want to choose a image from Your Gallery. Make sure at the top of this window is says submitting to Submissions 2009 [soon to be 2010]. Select the image you wish to submit and click OK
And that's it!

You'll be using this same formula for sending in all images to the club. The only difference is that all assignments, contests, member features will be be
+Suggest a Fav. These will a favorites gallery because the deviations are always changeling.

A helpful tip: It's much easier to submit an image to anything here if you go inside the actual collection by clicking "Browse Folder" button. All our galleries are on the main page. Just make sure when sending an image in that on top of that window it says
Submitting to the gallery you want.
DO NOT submit ANYTHING to FEATURED If you submit to Featured, your image will not be displayed.

And if you have any questions or are confused, just let me know and I will help you the best I can.
